Site Survey & Measurement outdoor wireless

Are you considering to build a wireless network or do you want to change your (expensive) wired network to a (more efficient) wireless one?

First of all you need to know whether the requisite connections are possible to make. They will be made over air, meaning there shouldn’t be too many obstacles between sites. One or two trees won’t stop the signal – a church, however, might be too big to pass.

Therefore it is best to take a site survey. This includes a visit to every location to decide which connections are possible and how they can be made. Previous to this site survey, we take a satellite survey. The satellite photographs provide us with sufficient information before our visit, as we already know the distances and the visibility between sites. Various problems with the installation of the network can thus be avoided.
